I just wanted to comment here, since I recently had an anonymous flamer, er troll, on my blog clearly referencing this post, that as far as I am concerned whatever dispute you and I had has long since been resolved (I hope you agree). I think that is clear on the other posts at Peter's and Maxim's blogs but not here.

If anyone is interested, this conversation has ballooned to Peter Farrell's blog under the topic of blogging etiquette:

I've posted a comment to see what they say about how they think things should be done in blogging. I'm interested to see what I can do to empower them to help me :S

Hi Brian,

Wow, thanks for coming back. I'm really surprised at how much your blowing this entire thing out of proportion. I have no doubt in my mind you don't care for my blog, but I'm shocked that you've chosen to return. If you don't like what's on television don't you just turn the channel? And when did you start ignoring my blog; after the first or second comment you've left here?

In all seriousness, you need to just let it go. You don't like my point of view and I'm willing to accept that. My goal is not to alienate anyone, but just give my perspective. I appreciate the work you do for the community and hope you continue to put in the hard work you do now, many benefit from it. That being said , if you don't care for my opinions on the current state of the ColdFusion community, stop reading them.

If you do decide to return, you should check out the post that Max put up on his site regarding your comment. You'll probably disagree with him as well, but I thought you might enjoy the read:

Always a pleasure.

Brian, their is a difference between disagreeing respectfully and not. Your posts generally come off on the not side. They do not come off as sarcastic, but as with an air of superiority. I read through at least 3 or 4 posts before really deciding to generally ignore your blog. Where do you get off telling me to get over myself? My blog and the work I do exists to help others as opposed to a means of looking down on the ColdFusion community from some self-appointed point of superiority - which in case you don't get it, that is how you come off with your "points" and endless criticism.

Perhaps you haven't been doing this long enough to realize sarcasm doesn't come across well in writing - if so, then maybe its time you did. Oh, and if you want to criticize me, you could do something better than pick on the fact that I use a word you don't know the definition of, really...but that, to me, is emblematic of the content on this blog. You have apparently already upset Matt and I. How many more people to you plan on alienating?

Brian, I think it only fair to point out that you're sounding like an @$$ again... (I don't think that'll ever get old).
