@Sushant - Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment about your experience. It's always disappointing to hear about situations when management chooses to take the "low road" when handles customer disputes. I too have had many issues with local restaurants in the area regarding large groups of people; your example of asking to order more food met with disapproval is something I've never encountered before. If what you're saying is true, I am definitely wary to bring large groups of people to the restaurant. That being said, I wasn't present during your altercation, so I'd encourage readers to take your words as one perspective and form their own opinions.

On a side note, (IMO) expecting an apology from the wait staff and management is probably unrealistic. If the Woodland's truly did treat you this way, it's probably best to never visit them again and spread the word as you are doing. Expectations as it applies to common courtesy are usually met with disappointment, especially in the restaurant business.

If you and your family ever find yourselves in Orlando, please don't be discouraged. There are a lot of great establishments for dining in the area, you just have to do a little digging.

I would like to share our experience at this place. We visited this place for dinner on 12/20/2007. This first visit of ours to this restaurant has been the worst experience we have had at any restaurant in India or US. The customer service was, downright rude, insulting and callous. Looks like their mantra of 'customers first' is a complete charade. We actually got shouted at for ordering additional dishes after the first round. ‘Shouted At for ordering additional dishes’ in front of 50 or so other customers. Still can't believe it!! We have never experienced this anywhere before. Usually, restaurants have been happy that we have ordered for more. In a country where 'customer is always right' is the slogan, the attitude here is worlds away. As a group of 11 with kids, towards the end of long and exciting days at the theme parks we went there in great spirits and came back with a sour taste and a hefty bill of about $135.00. We would have ended up with more if not for this incident ( glad we did not stay there longer). The food tastes good but the customer service make it inconsequential. The quantity is less for the price charged as compared to places elsewhere. For first timers, it will be difficult to estimate the number of needed dishes, especially for large groups and additional orders are required which make it expensive, in addition to danger of annoying the restaurant management.
Apparently, the management is trying to enforce a 'order only once' policy, maybe so that they can circulate more people in the least amount of time. Guess, if we estimated incorrectly, we will need to stay hungry and leave. Instead of letting us know politely about their policy and reasons, they actually shouted at us and threw up their arms in disgust!!! They have treated us like we were beggers asking for more food. The rude behavior was evident among all working there including the top guy present at the location. Body language, ugly looks, impolite behavior and all. Some don’t even speak English and speak only hindi. Even after we protested about the rude behavior there was absolutely no sense of an apology. Instead, many of the folks working there including the manager collectively ganged up and started bickering with us, and all this because we ordered for dishes more than once???!!!! Even after all this the manager never apologized. The experience was so ridiculously unbelievable that after a while it starts to seem funny. We have felt utterly insulted and frustrated. Actually, another family seated besides us expressed that even they have witnessed rude behaviour at that place before, even if not this extreme. We would never go back and would NOT recommend this restaurant to anybody. We are actively sending e-mails to friends to stay away from this restaurant when they visit orlando for vacation. ( The management of this restaurant has actually indicated they do not care)
