Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives is Awesome

Anyone who knows me, knows I watch a lot of the Food Network. I don’t watch because I want to become a good cook; I watch because I like to eat, period. Every night before bed, this show, “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives“, comes on and it drives me nuts. It’s hosted by the winner of the Food Network Challenge, Guy Fieri, and if you overlook his excess spray-on tan, this is a great show. The places they find across the country make some of the best comfort food I’ve ever seen. I usually need a glass of water before I go to bed to displace the amount of water my mouth loses while salivating over the food in this show. In all seriousness, Guy is a great host, and I look forward to each episode whenever they are on. If you like to eat, like I do, definitely check out the show.

Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives can be found on Channel 59 on Bright House Cable in the evenings around 10:00 PM EST.

You must see Food Network on HD!

  2. Brian LeGros Says:

@Vince – Man, I didn’t know they had Food Network in HD. Ok I’m gonna go look at TV prices now … I will tell my wife to blame you when she finds out. ;)

  3. Vince Says:

Might as well get a PS3 while you’re at it. If you’re gonna get yelled at, do it all at once to save from later scoldings.

If you’re going to get an HDTV, you have to get a PS3 so that you can take advantage of the built-in Blu-Ray player. Food Network…good. Food Network in stunning 1080p…great. Food Network in stunning 1080p whenever you want it on a convenient Blu_Ray disc…that’s America, baby!

@Brian/Vince – I think I’m just gonna go wallow in the humble nature of my standard def TV and avoid temptation for now. Get FFXIII out on the PS3 and then maybe we’ll talk.

I am totally jealous of these guys whose jobs consist of driving around the country and eating at places

I totally went in to the wrong career. I mean, WTF? Didn’t my high school guidance counselor know about these amazing career opportunities? :)

@Max – Seriously man, if my guidance counselor told us there was a job that let you travel around the world and do nothing but eat and be opinionated … geesh, I’d be a metric ton by now. Who knew the dead ends that software engineering brings. I need a cheeseburger.
